HIV/AIDS Intervention

Acres of Mercy is committed to playing its part in reversing the course of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the communities it is working in by providing or making available services in an equitable, accessible, affordable, comprehensive, and sustainable way over the long-term.

Our Current Interventions

Incubating new support groups;

Sustainable Nutrition Intervention; Supporting Income Generating Activities for sustainable provision of incomes   

Behaviour Change Communication: Creating awareness in the community (Schools, Self Help groups and Churches); 

Promoting Adherence to ARV  and Tuberculosis drugs

Educating illiterate members of the community on the correct use of ARV drugs 

Stigma Reduction Activities 

Psychosocial Support and Care through Home Visits, Counselling and  Material support

Organizing Mobile Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) Outreaches

The above programs are supported and financed by Grants from AMREF Maanisha a Community Focused Initiative to Control HIV AIDS in Kenya who we have been working with since January 2009.
